ARISE is the greatest source of Christian faith growth for teenagers and older that I have ever been associated with. The seeds that are being planted from Arise will be admired and respected for years and hopefully decades. The first word I think about when I hear the word "Arise"...I think about me being saved on Arise#6 weekend. Arise has been a life altering experience for me, and has given me a bigger, and more amazing family. Arise is my comfort and my fuel to fill me up and go out into the world and share the love of Christ with others. I attended my ARISE weekend not because I was asked; but because God had a divine appointment for me to be there. That was one of the times in my life where He planned to show Himself fully to me. He opened a part of my heart and spirit that I never knew existed. That was the first step in my faith where I got a chance to see the Lord on a more intimate and personal level. Once He did that; my walk with Christ took a turn in a totally different direction. I started praying and diving in the Word more and more. I met life long brothers and sisters in Christ that I love dearly and pray for daily. I still keep in touch with a lot of them and my ARISE weekend was over 7 years ago. Through it all; That's what ARISE is to me. I truly believe it's a divine apointment from our Lord. ~ Nancy Alderson
To me, ARISE could be encompassed in one word: Grace. I think of the scripture 2 Corinthians 12:9, and am reminded what our Father taught us- “For my GRACE is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect when you are weak”. ARISE is this, to me: sufficient GRACE through God’s love. I see His Grace in the eyes, hearts and actions of his people- who work and serve so unselfishly at ARISE. I suggest if you are yearning for a real live example of God’s grace- or if you are unsure of what that really means- you need to make a weekend! ~ Sarah King Townsend
